This lovely old barn has been saved from dereliction and has been renovated into a sleek, luxury holiday cottage. We have done our best to keep the original look of the building’s impressive exterior, keeping its original rustic features and adding contemporary fittings.
Ysgubor Iwrch now offers guests a luxurious base from which to enjoy a memorable holiday in the stunning Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
Step inside the impressive front entrance into a bright and airy open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Kick your shoes off straight away to make the most of the toasty underfloor heating which runs throughout the building.
Enjoy cooking delicious meals in this modern, well equipped kitchen. The sociable layout means the rest of the family can keep you company while they sit around the large hand crafted dining table. Throw the patio doors wide open on a sunny morning to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or brunch, taking in the views of the orchard and the fields beyond. Gather around the oak table for a family get together and enjoy an evening of playing board games – you’ll find a selection hidden away in the farmhouse kitchen dresser.
Relax on the large leather sofa to enjoy a blazing log fire in the wood burning stove. There’s also a couple of comfy armchairs surrounding the fire and the flat screen TV – plenty of room for all the family to watch a film or just take in the comfort and warmth of a crackling fire.
At the end of the day, retire upstairs to sleep in super comfy beds with crisp, white cotton bed linen. Large windows and skylights ensure that the bedrooms are nice and bright on winter mornings. Close the blackout blinds for lazy Summer lye-ins.
Enjoy the invigorating rain shower in the en-suite bathroom or, if a long soak in the bath is more your thing, choose the second bathroom along the landing.

Bedroom 1. Affording lovely views of open countryside, this room has a king sized bed with cotton bed linen, oak furniture, a built in wardrobe, a flat screen TV and an en-suite shower room with a luxurious rain shower. Large window with window seat, skylight window with blackout blinds.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds with cotton bed linen and oak furniture, a large window with window seat, skylight window with blackout blinds.
Bathroom 1 has a good sized bath with an over bath shower. A large skylight window allows you to gaze at the stars while having a soak.
Bathroom 2 is an en-suite shower room joined to the double bedroom. It has a large corner shower enclosure with a luxurious rain shower.
Outside
Large patio doors lead onto a slate patio area with garden furniture.
The enclosed garden provides an ideal place to relax and enjoy your peaceful surroundings
A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the outhouse leading from the garden.
Heating
The cottage is always warm and cosy thanks to the environmentally friendly underfloor heating which is fitted throughout. An eco friendly ‘Air Source Heat Pump’ provides the heat for the underfloor heating. The heat pump itself is powered by electricity generated from the river that runs along the bottom of our land.
A wood burning stove provides additional heat if necessary (a basket of logs are supplied, small additional charge for extra logs).
Check in
Check in time is from 4pm and we kindly ask that you check out by 10am. We try to be on hand to welcome you on check in but alternative arrangements can be made if a late check in is requested.
Large groups. All three of our cottages can be let together to sleep a maximum of 12 people – an ideal setting for a Christmas or New Year family get together.
