Hafod Iwrch cottage has had many uses over the years. It originally served as a milking parlour when the farm had a herd of dairy cows. It has now been sympathetically renovated into a two bedroom holiday cottage offering 5* luxury ground floor accommodation for a maximum of 4 people. The open plan living area creates a bright, contemporary feel, whilst the traditional features serve as a reminder of its past life.
Hafod’s front door takes you into a large open plan living area, with a lounge area at one end and a kitchen and dining area at the other. In the lounge area a leather three seater sofa and an armchair surround a comforting wood burning stove and a large flat screen TV. The large glazed door which leads out onto the patio area adds to the light, airy feel of the cottage.
The modern kitchen has all the appliances you would expect, including a dishwasher, microwave and large fridge freezer. An oak dining table with lovely rustic slate place mats provides a sociable setting.

We want you to know exactly what you’re getting when you book your stay at Hafod Iwrch so we’ve tried to be completely honest in our description of the place.
Wi-fi – our free, sometimes temperamental, wi-fi is fine for checking emails, Facebook, and browsing the web, but not so good for watching videos, playing online games or downloading large files.
Mobile phone reception tends to come and go at Moel yr Iwrch. There is usually no signal inside the cottages but you can make calls a short walk up the road or in the field next to the cottage. Our house landline is always available in an emergency.
Dog friendly. Dogs are very welcome at Hafod Iwrch. We do, however, respectfully ask that owners consider carefully whether their dog is suited to be staying on a working form. Our cottages are surrounded by open fields and there are a lot of things to chase – sheep, chickens, cats, children……. There is an enclosed garden and a paddock directly outside the cottage’s back door where you can exercise your dog. There are lots of walks in and around Betws y Coed where your dog/s can run off the lead.
We charge a fee of £25 per dog per stay.
Check in time is from 6pm and we kindly ask that you check out by 9am.
Large groups. All of our cottages can be let together to sleep a maximum of 12 people – an ideal setting for a Christmas or New Year family get together.
