Hafod Iwrch Luxury Holiday Cottage

Hafod Iwrch cottage has had many uses over the years. It originally served as a milking parlour when the farm had a herd of dairy cows. It has now been sympathetically renovated into a two bedroom holiday cottage offering 5* luxury ground floor accommodation for a maximum of 4 people.  The open plan living area creates a bright, contemporary feel, whilst the traditional features serve as a reminder of its past life.

Hafod’s front door takes you into a large open plan living area, with a lounge area at one end and a kitchen and dining area at the other. In the lounge area a leather three seater sofa and an armchair surround a comforting wood burning stove and a large flat screen TV.  The large glazed door which leads out onto the patio area adds to the light, airy feel of the cottage.

Home Truths - Hafod Iwrch

We want you to know exactly what you’re getting when you book your stay at Hafod Iwrch so we’ve tried to be completely honest in our description of the place.

Accessibility. Hafod Iwrch offers ground floor accommodation, however there is a small step up from the yard to the front patio entrance and a further step up from the patio through the front door into the cottage. The front door has a threshold to step over (approx 2 inches in height).
Once inside the cottage all the rooms are on one level.

Mobile phone reception tends to come and go at Moel yr Iwrch. There is usually no signal inside the cottages but you can make calls a short walk up the road or in the field next to the cottage. Our house landline is always available in an emergency.

Washing Machine & Dryer.  These are located in a little outhouse which is accessed directly from Hafod Iwrch’s garden. These facilities are shared with guests staying in Stabal Iwrch cottage next door. Some non-bio washing powder is supplied for you to use.

Dog friendly. Dogs are very welcome at Hafod Iwrch. We do, however, respectfully ask that owners consider carefully whether their dog/s are suited to be staying on a working form.  Our cottages are surrounded by open fields and there are a lot of things to chase – sheep, chickens, cats, horses, children… There is an enclosed garden directly outside the cottage’s back door and a fenced off paddock directly off the garden where you can exercise your dog under supervision. There are lots of walks in and around Betws y Coed where your dog/s can run off the lead.
We charge a fee of £30 per dog per stay.
